Our Training Philosophy

Getting started the right way - This is critical to success. Most prospective agents will take the Real Estate Associates Program (REAP) and start training with their new brokerage once they are licensed. Our training program begins while you are still in course, so that once you are licensed you are ready to start working and earning money immediately, not 6 months down the road.

Expect to not make a sale for 6 months? No way! That's what other companies will tell you. Every one of our agents has made at least one sale within one month of becoming licensed. We put our agents on a fast start program that virtually makes it impossible not to succeed, regardless of market conditions.

Personalized Action Plan. The first thing we'll do is sit down and create a personal action plan for your training and business development that fits your needs and timeline. Preparation is a cornerstone to success and no one will work harder to have you more prepared than Coldwell Banker Johnston.

Mentoring. Our mentoring program means you get hands on experience, working with real clients. You'll witness and participate in listing presentations, and come on showings in order to prepare you for successful client interactions with one of Edmonton's most consistent top producers.

A great start is the key. Working with us means that by the time you are licensed you will have all the tools and skills you need to start making money. We'll help you get your web site up and running, create personalized marketing materials, give you potential clients to work with (who are actually currently looking at buying or selling real estate), set up your tablet computer with all the necessary software loaded, provide your own personalized listing and buying presentations.... everything except the car you need to work in!

You've read the books, listened to the tapes, attended the seminars, or maybe you're brand new to sales and that is all in your future. You can read and listen all you want but nothing will get you further than doing.  Our training program is a collaborative, mentorship program - you learn by doing.  At our office meetings everyone participates in roll playing and brainstorming and part of every meeting is dedicated to helping all our associates over come whatever problems or challenges they may be facing.
